Birds Nest Fused Glass Large Bowl

Large bowls are made from two hand-cut glass discs, screen printed by hand, then fused in a kiln to about 1400 degrees.  Bowls are then cold worked on grinders and saws, then put back into the kiln to slump into their final shape.  This bowl features our nest and eggs design, screen printed in black enamel onto robin's egg blue glass, layered with clear glass.  Large bowls are about 13" x 3" deep. These make great wedding and housewarming gifts. These are a fantastic fruit bowl size, are great for serving, and look equally fabulous displayed on your table. They are food-safe, and while kiln formed glass is dishwasher safe (china cycle), we recommend hand washing. Each bowl is handmade by artist Laurie Freivogel in her tiny Oak Park, Illinois studio.
